Walker Adams was supposed to follow in his lawyer father’s footsteps, but instead he’s training to be an MMA fighter. And while he works for his chance to make it in the UFC, he’s bunking on his baby sister’s best friend’s couch. Gracie Andrews is all grown up—in all the right places. But she’s engaged to the fight match-maker who holds Walker’s career in his hands…
Gracie had almost convinced herself that she’d put her silly childhood crush on Walker to rest. But the sight of him sleeping in only a pair of boxer briefs makes it clear that some things never change. And as old sparks turn to flames, Gracie is forced to decide between the future she thought she wanted or the man she’s never stopped loving…
Gracie left everything behind when she went to college in Las Vegas. Including her best friend’s brother and her childhood crush, Walker. Years later Gracie receives a phone call from her best friend and Walkers sister, Kylie, asking if Walker can stay with her for a few weeks. Having left law school 6 months away from graduation, Walker is pursuing his dream of becoming a professional MMA fighter. However, pursuing this dream became a lot more difficult when his father cut him off financially as punishment for leaving law school. Now Walker has no choice but to temporarily move in with Gracie. Gracie refuses to let her old feelings for Walker resurface, convincing herself she’s happy with her current boyfriend, Erik. As time goes on, it becomes more and more difficult for Gracie to put those feelings aside, the chemistry between her and Walker is undeniable!
I read this book in one day, and I just couldn’t put it down! It was well written, well-paced and an all-around good read. I loved the main characters, Gracie and Walker, and the adorable moments between them! Jennifer Snow writes some really amazing and likeable characters (I’m hoping we get to see more of Kylie at some point!!). Breaking Her Rules is the perfect beginning to what should be an awesome series! I can’t wait to read Fighting The Fall, Book # 2 in the Beyond The Cage series!!
